CPX Sports of Joliet, Illinois has teamed up with DXS/DraXxuS and Smart Parts to produce a 24-hr Paintball Scenario Game & Industry Reunion, honoring the "Living Legends" of Paintball on April 5-6, 2008 at one of the world's most theatrically intense Paintball parks, the remarkable CPX Sports in Joliet, IL. The game, powered by DXS/DraXxuS paintballs, will pit DXS/DraXxuS Senior VP Craig Miller as General of the DXS "Old Skool" team, versus Sean Scott of Smart Parts/Smart Corps fame as General of the opposing "New Skool" side.

Tippmann Sports recently announced that the company will be standing behind its legendary Tippmann branded paintball markers with a new, industry leading two-year warranty. The first-of-its kind warranty, which will be prominently highlighted on all product packaging as well as the company's print advertisements and website, officially went into effect on January 1, 2008. There will also be a grace period to cover those players who purchased a new Tippmann marker in late 2007.

The Canadian Border Services Agency has successfully banned RAM manufactured 43 caliber paintball rifles.
The CBSA (Canadian Border Services Agency) on January 17th 2007 decided to prohibit RAM manufactured paintball rifles under the Customs Act, citing that they are replicas of the M4 Carbine Assault Rifle.

The division within the Federal Government Department of Transportation that oversees hazardous materials-The Department of Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA-what a mouthful)-has revamped the exemption codes that are used to describe the standards under which various pressure vessels (tanks) are manufactured. Those standards include materials used, method of manufacture, restrictions on the materials stored within the vessels, usable working life and re-testing requirements for re-certification.

After our most successful season yet, PSP is excited to be moving forward toward an even better 2008 Season.
As always, we are raising the bar for tournament paintball and feel the following format changes will continue to make XBall more accessible to everyone. These changes will help lighten the load on teams with limited sponsorship allowing them to continue playing the best format in competitive paintball.

27th November 2007 - Official Planet Eclipse Press Release.
This press release applies to all Ego8 that were manufactured prior to 9th November 2007.
As a result of our continuous testing, we have recently discovered an Ego8 Inline Regulator Swivel Collar that displayed a defect that resulted in a leak that could only be stopped by replacing the swivel collar component.
